Step 1: Create or Sign In to Your Account
• Click Create an Account (if you are new)
• Or click Sign In (if you already have an account)
Step 2: Start a New Application
• Look for Apply for Benefits or Start a New Application
• Follow the on-screen instructions
Step 3: Select the Help You’re Applying For
• Choose Medicaid
• Select any other programs that apply (if prompted)
Step 4: Complete the Application Carefully
You will answer questions about:
• Household members
• Income (work, Social Security, pensions, etc.)
• Address and Florida residency
• Current insurance or health coverage
• Pregnancy or disability (if applicable)
Step 5: Upload Required Documents (If Requested)
The website will tell you what is needed. Common documents include:
• Photo ID
• Social Security numbers (or proof of application)
• Proof of Florida residency (lease, utility bill, etc.)
• Proof of income (pay stubs, SSA award letter, pension info)
• Immigration documents (if applicable)
Step 6: Submit Your Application
• Submit the completed application
• Save your confirmation number
• Keep a copy of the receipt or confirmation page
Step 7: Check Your Status & Respond to Notices
Log back into your ACCESS Florida account to:
• Track your application status
• Upload additional documents if requested
• Read notices and meet all deadlines
